Day 89
The Saga Continues ...
Today started out so calm and quiet. And then the cat got involved.

Sometime during the night/early morning Venus brought a friend home. How she got the bird in by two sleeping Yorkies is beyond me. We have a cat named Venus and she is a very sweet kitty most of the time. But she likes to play with birds. And I do mean play. She doesn't try to eat them. And when she kills them it is because she was playing too hard.

Anyway, I was in the office with Princess and had the gate up so that she couldn't run up and down the stairs or jump on and off the bed. Suddenly, a bird starts flying around the room. And I don't mean a little bird or a baby bird. This was a full grown dove. I grabbed Princess and got her over the gate and closed the office door. I opened the window and took the screen out and then left the office hoping the bird would find it's way out. I check back and hour later and the bird was still inside so I got a towel and threw it over the bird. Put the bird on the window sill and it flew off.

Try and keep a Yorkie quiet! Really! Could I get a little cooperation here?

Day 88
Why, I ask? Why was I worried? Again, the biggest problem with this little dog is keeping her quiet. Not a care in the world our little Yorkie girl. Of course, when we get the lab work back that might be a different story.

Day 87
We dropped Princess off at the vet’s this morning. They said to call them around 12:30 or 1:00. In the meantime …

There has been an update. The “thing” was in fact a dew claw that had grown back under the skin as was the one starting to come in on the other leg. However, and this is not good, Dr Cook found a lump in one of her breasts. So, we will see what is going to happen from there.

Day 85
I can feel some badness coming on. I want to come in late and leave early and not really work through lunch. This usually doesn’t last very long when it does come on me. I just need to find a good place to hide and do it. And we can just forget all about the 12 Steps right now. HA! Speaking of which, I am struggling with the 3rd step.

Also, we changed Princess bandage last night and it looks like whatever that thing is on her leg has broken open and started seeping. So it will need to be cleaned. And it does look like a dew claw trying to grow back. So we will see what happens on Wednesday when she sees the vet again.

How do you think that you should live your life after giving your life over to the care of God as you understand God? I should probably be a much better person than I am BUT … I guess being more honest with me would be a good start.

What changes do you expect to make and how will this look in specific detail? Really good question. First, I’ll win the lottery …

Day 82
Glenda is on a roll. She deleted a whole slew of photos off of the QATW web site the other night. Not a happy camper that woman.

Day 73
Turns out the vet thinks that the bump on Princess leg is a tumor. But then again it could be a dew claw that has grown back under the skin. She goes under the knife on the 16th to have it removed and biopsied.

Day 72
I saw Dr Griffith today. And it is time for Susie to go on a diet. I have gained 7 lbs due to her ice cream mania.

Day 71
What a bunch of hooey going on at work. I tell people that I am swamped and could someone else help them. I even give them names. Do you think that works????? No, that doesn’t work. I seem to be busier than ever.

Princess has a big, huge, ugly abscess on her left leg just above the paw. I kind of think that she got stung by something a while back and now this is showing up. Scorpion perhaps?
